By visiting breakfastandbrainstorms.com, creating an account or playing any of the games, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Breakfast and Brainstorms is an independent publisher operating under the Breakfast and Brainstorms name. The games are free to play. Questions about these terms can be sent to breakfastandbrainstorms@gmail.com.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or appear on a leaderboard. The games are not directed at children under 13.

The site does not currently perform automated age verification, so this age requirement is a condition of use rather than something we check at sign-up. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13, we will remove it.

• Give accurate information, and keep your email address up to date.
• Keep your sign-in details private. You are responsible for activity on your account, including games played and scores submitted while signed in.
• Use one account of your own. Creating several accounts to fill leaderboards or repeat daily rewards is not allowed.
• You can create an account with an email address and password, or use Sign in with Google, which is the only third-party sign-in offered on the site today. If you use Google, you are also bound by Google's terms, and access can end if that connection fails.
• Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been misused.

To keep the games fair for everyone, you must not:

• Use bots, scripts, macros or automated play of any kind.
• Try to change scores, answers, timings or round results, or interfere with the server-side grading of a round.
• Exploit a bug, replay a request or resubmit a round to inflate a score. Report problems to us instead.
• Harvest or copy the question bank, answer keys, word lists or daily boards.
• Attempt to access another player's records, or disrupt the site for other players.
• Use the site for anything unlawful, or to abuse, threaten or impersonate anyone.

Leaderboard entries for the Daily Quiz and Word Search are public and show your display name, score and, on time-based boards, your round time. Your display name must not contain offensive language, hateful or harassing content, advertising, a link, or another person's name or personal information in a misleading way.

We may rename, remove or withhold a display name or score that breaks these rules or looks manipulated. List of Words scores and statistics stay in your own account rather than on a public board.

The questions, explanations, answer sets, word banks, artwork, mascots, characters, page design, code and the Breakfast and Brainstorms name and marks belong to us or our licensors.

We give you a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable permission to use the games for your own enjoyment, and to share your results with friends using the share links on the site. You may not republish, resell, scrape, mirror or build another product from our content, or use our name and branding without written permission.

You keep ownership of the display name and words you submit. You allow us to store and display them as part of running the games and leaderboards, and to keep score records consistent if a name is changed.

The games are free and provided as they are. We may add, change, pause or remove games, questions, scoring rules or features, and we may need to take the site offline for maintenance. We do not guarantee that the site will always be available, uninterrupted or error free, and daily content may change after publication.

We may suspend or remove an account or score that breaks these terms, particularly for cheating, automated play, abuse or attempts to interfere with the site. Where it is reasonable we will explain why. You can stop using the site at any time and ask us to delete your account and its records by email.

The site relies on Base44 for hosting, authentication, database and analytics, on Google Fonts for typefaces, and on Google for the optional Sign in with Google button. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.

The games are entertainment. Questions and explanations are written in good faith and may contain mistakes; they are not professional, medical, financial or legal advice. The site is provided without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law, including satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability or consumer right that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

We may update these terms as the games change. The date at the top of this page shows the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
